1. What led you to the world of corsets and luxury lingerie?
Riwaa Nerona: Komplexy. Nenáviděla jsem svůj úzký pas a široké boky. Začala jsem s tím bojovat tak, že jsem křivky ještě více zdůraznila korzetem. Zalíbilo se mi to. K šití spodního prádla jsem se dostala až o deset let později. Bavilo mne, že není vidět a každý tak může být svobodnější a odvážnější ve výběru.
Translation: Complexes. I hated my narrow waist and wide hips. I started combating this by accentuating my curves even more with a corset. I liked it. I only got into sewing lingerie ten years later. I enjoyed that it’s not visible, allowing everyone to be freer and bolder in their choices.
2. What is the biggest myth about wearing corsets that you’d like to debunk?
Riwaa Nerona: Že si ženy nechávaly vyoperovat žebra, aby měly užší pas. Ve skutečnosti je většina fotografií retušována a u šatů se pracuje s vycpávkami a optickými klamy. V době, kdy se nosily korzety, byste vážně operaci žeber podstoupit nechtěli ☠️. Korzet spíše chránil pas před zařezáváním těžkých sukní, krinolín a spodniček.
Translation: That women had their ribs removed to achieve a narrower waist. In reality, most photographs are retouched, and dresses utilize padding and optical illusions. In the era when corsets were worn, you definitely wouldn’t want to undergo rib surgery ☠️. The corset actually protected the waist from the cutting in of heavy skirts, crinolines, and petticoats.
3. How many hours of manual work does it usually take to create one exclusive piece?
Riwaa Nerona: Od hodin po dny i týdny. Vždy záleží na konkrétním modelu. U korzetu v základu přes třicet hodin práce.
Translation: From hours to days and even weeks. It always depends on the specific model. For a basic corset, it’s over thirty hours of work.
4. Have you ever collaborated with celebrities or well-known personalities?
Riwaa Nerona: Ano a vždy zachovávám diskrétnost 🫶
Translation: Yes, and I always maintain discretion 🫶

6. What is the difference between lingerie worn for comfort and that worn for seduction?
Riwaa Nerona: Skutečně svádět může jen ten, kdo se cítí příjemně v tom, co má na sobě. Pohodlí je tak individuální, že je těžké zobecnit, které prádlo je které. Jednoho rajcují krajky, jiného bílé bavlněné kalhotky, dalšího 90s satén a někoho chlupatá pyžama. Rozdíl bude asi jen v četnosti nošení – ty nejlepší kousky si šetříme na výjimečné příležitosti, aby se nám neomrzely.
Translation: Only someone who feels comfortable in what they’re wearing can truly seduce. Comfort is so individual that it’s hard to generalize which lingerie is which. One person is turned on by lace, another by white cotton panties, another by ’90s satin, and someone else by fuzzy pajamas. The difference is probably only in the frequency of wearing – we save the best pieces for special occasions so that we don’t get tired of them.
7. What do you think is the perfect “set” for a first date vs. a special night?
Riwaa Nerona: Ten, ve kterém se cítíte dobře, perfektně padne a vyjadřuje osobnost nositele. Chybou bývá si hrát na něco, co nejste a třeba se i zbytečně brzdit. Takže pokud milujete červené krajkové prádlo s podvazkovým pásem, vezměte si je, pokud dáváte přednost sportovnímu setu, bude to to pravé.
Translation: The one in which you feel good, fits perfectly, and expresses the wearer’s personality. The mistake is often pretending to be something you’re not and perhaps unnecessarily holding back. So if you love red lace lingerie with a garter belt, wear it; if you prefer a sporty set, that will be the right choice.
8. Do you think lingerie can be a tool of power and dominance?
Riwaa Nerona: Prádlo může zdůraznit osobnost i krásu nositelky/nositele a s větším sebevědomím roste požitek. Takže ano.
Translation: Lingerie can emphasize the personality and beauty of the wearer, and with greater confidence comes greater enjoyment. So yes.
Is there a piece of lingerie that you think is underrated and should be more mainstream?
Riwaa Nerona: Kombiné (slip), ženám by v šatech nebyla taková zima a nosily by možná více zajímavého prádla, které k šatům patří.
Translation: A slip—women wouldn’t feel as cold in dresses, and they might wear more interesting lingerie that complements their outfits.
What was the boldest or most controversial photoshoot featuring your designs?
Riwaa Nerona: Asi všechna, která se objevila v časopisu Playboy.
Translation: Probably all the ones that appeared in Playboy magazine.
